Please, rest assured that these changes are steps and actions towards positive development and progress for the education of your children, and our students. The board of management, teachers, parents and all staff in the kindergarten and primary are working in partnership with other instructors, learning specialists and educational organizations of a multidisciplinary team to bring the best practice, and the most up to date teaching models from around the world for our students, here at the school.

Community:

Students have been given the opportunity to promote a warm relationship with our Korean friends in the local community, as well as, the opportunity to visit a school for children with special needs. We are working closely with other international teachers and trainers who are friends of our school for staff development and good team working skills, so that we can deliver a more rounded and better quality education for our children.

Green School.

Your browser may not support display of this image.Your browser may not support display of this image.

Working Together

Students, whom are the most important people at our school, will learn best and feel happiest when teachers and staff, parents and the community all actively and harmoniously work together. Such as was demonstrated at the event for International Women’s day, which we recently held together with Camellia school to raise money for disadvantaged children in Trung Hoa Community. For the next semester, the school is endeavoring to start a monthly parent’s council meeting with the board of management.

Parents-Teacher Interview

The students are now having their end of term exams 23-27th, March. The student’s progress report will be given to parents on Monday 30th, March. Parent-Teacher interviews will take place in the afternoon on Tuesday 31st, March at 3-5.30pm. This is an opportunity for parents to discuss and also review with teaching staff their child’s individual education plan for the next semester. Wednesday, 1st, April is the last day of this term, which will be an activity day for all staff and students.

Happy School

We will be going to the ‘Jaffa’ open swimming pool at Ciputra, International City. Parents are warmly invited and are most welcomed to join us for a fun and relaxing day with their children and the staffs. We are breaking up for the term holiday on Wednesday, 1st, April, and commencing for the next semester on Monday, 20th, April.

The Brendon Priamry Schoolhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15498711433442364620noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7884041110045656752.post-40901484645412039902009-03-25T00:26:00.000-07:002009-03-25T00:27:02.568-07:00Kindergarten OverviewKindergarten OverviewThe Brendon Priamry Schoolhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15498711433442364620noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7884041110045656752.post-3643268879615346152009-03-25T00:25:00.001-07:002009-03-25T00:26:29.452-07:00The Kindergarten CiriculumInfo about the Kindergarten CiriculumThe Brendon Priamry Schoolhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15498711433442364620noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7884041110045656752.post-15364839871907383232009-03-25T00:24:00.000-07:002009-03-25T00:25:17.384-07:00KindergartenInfo About the KindergartenThe Brendon Priamry Schoolhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15498711433442364620noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7884041110045656752.post-43039194284728010082009-03-25T00:10:00.000-07:002009-03-25T00:21:24.053-07:00Useful Links For ParentsUseful Links For ParentsThe Brendon Priamry Schoolhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15498711433442364620noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7884041110045656752.post-35829152286555848402009-03-25T00:07:00.000-07:002009-03-25T00:08:01.821-07:00ArtworkArtwork
Links
HereThe Brendon Priamry Schoolhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15498711433442364620noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7884041110045656752.post-7152442422567548562009-03-18T20:35:00.000-07:002009-03-18T20:39:08.834-07:00Flipbook Pro

This week in ICT we are going to be looking at a program called Flipbook Pro. Foundation subjects are design and technology; information and communication technology; history; geography; modern foreign languages; music; art and design; physical education; religious education; and citizenship.

Northern Ireland follows a similar framework; however, schools can develop additional curriculum elements to express their particular ethos and meet pupils' individual needs and circumstances. The curriculum also includes the Irish language in Irish-speaking schools.

After five years of secondary education, students take examinations in a range of subjects at the level of General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE). The GCSE is a single-subject examination set and marked by independent examination boards. Students usually take up to ten (there is no upper or lower limit) GCSE examinations in different subjects, including mathematics and English language.

After taking GCSEs, students may leave secondary schooling; alternatively, they may choose to continue their education at vocational or technical colleges, or they may take a higher level of secondary school examinations known as AS-Levels after an additional year of study. Following two years of study, students may take A-Level (short for Advanced Level) examinations, which are required for university entrance in the UK.

Scotland

Scotland has its own qualification framework that is separate from that in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. After seven years of primary education and four years of compulsory secondary education, students aged 15 to 16 may take the Scottish Certificate of Education (SCE). The Scottish Certificate of Education is recognized throughout the UK as the equivalent to GCE A-levels and is usually the entry qualification for university.

For more information about Scotland’s education system, visit Learning and Teaching in Scotland or EducationUK Scotland for information about higher education.

Grades and Transcripts

The American concept of a school transcript is unfamiliar in the UK. Schools in the UK do not generally rank pupils within their year; currently, the principal standards are the GCSE, SCE and AS and A-Level examination results.

There is no official method of equating British and American primary and secondary educational qualifications. The educational systems are entirely different and attempts to compare them must be done on a strictly provisional basis. However, in general 5 GCSE's or the Scottish Certificate of Education-Standard Grade passes are considered to weigh closest to the American high school diploma.
The Brendon Priamry Schoolhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15498711433442364620noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7884041110045656752.post-90681281336539655062009-03-02T23:07:00.001-08:002009-03-02T23:07:53.038-08:00First PostWe have started this blog for various reasons.
